Earlier today, Deepika Padukone unveiled her first look from Chhapaak directed by Meghna Gulzar. The actress left everyone stumped with her beautiful look and people cannot stop praising her for that. Along with social media users, B-town celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Kiara Advani among many others were impressed with the first look. One glance at her look will make you believe that no one would have been a better fit for Laxmi Agarwal’s character than Deepika Padukone. And boy, has she nailed it. FYI, Deepika’s character is named Malti in Chhapaak.
Deepika’s uncanny resemblance to acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal has sent the internet into a frenzy. And seeing these pictures of the two will leave you guys surprised as well.

Meanwhile, recently in a conversation with Mid-Day, Deepika revealed more about her character and said, “Not every acid attack survivor is like Laxmi, who, despite physical pain, social shaming and ostracism, came out of the experience, stronger, even victorious. There are many who are yet to overcome the trauma. I will be meeting some of these girls in the coming weeks and be working closely with them. I believe everyone needs to take mental health seriously and I’ll have a dialogue with them and their families on this.”

Chhapaak starring Deepika and Vikrant Massey will lock horns with Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior at the box office on January 10, 2020. It will be interesting to see which film will fare better. As of now, we have our hopes high on Chhapaak, courtesy Deepika Padukone’s dedication, Meghna Gulzar’s craft and Vikrant Massey’s powerplay.
