Rajkumar Barjatya prayer meet: Salman Khan, Tabu, Madhuri Dixit & others pay their last respects to Sooraj Barjatya’s late father


Veteran producer Rajkumar Barjatya died on Thursday in Mumbai. On Saturday, a prayer meet was held in the city in remembrance of the late producer who was fondly called Raj Babu. A bunch of actors who have strong relations with the Barjatya family attended the meet. Salman Khan who has worked as Prem in an array of Barjatya’s films made an appearance. From the actresses lot Madhuri Dixit, who gave the humungous hit Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! in 1997, was also there. Tabu (Hum Saath-Saath Hain), Swara Bhaskar, Amrita Rao (Vivah) were also seen. Other celebrities like Akshay Oberoi, Prem Chopra, Randhir Kapoor, Raza Murad, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur and singer Himesh Reshammiya, along with wife Sonia, paid their last respect to the producer.

The 75-year-old producer suffered a cardiac arrest and was admitted in the city’s Sir H.N.Reliance Foundation Hospital. He and his banner was popular for making family entertainers like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Apke Hain Koun, Vivaah, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
